Effective from: September 2026
1. About our work together
Thank you for choosing to work with me.
My aim is to provide a safe, supportive and confidential space in which we can explore the changes you would like to make and work towards your goals.
I offer transformational coaching, hypnotherapy and related therapeutic approaches. Every client is different, so the techniques and approaches used will be tailored to your individual needs, goals and circumstances.
This agreement explains what you can expect from me and what I ask from you so that we can work together effectively.
2. My approach
Depending on your needs and the service we have agreed, our work may draw upon a range of approaches for which I am appropriately trained. These may include hypnotherapy, coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), EMDR Plus, solution-focused approaches and other therapeutic or personal-development techniques.
I will explain the nature and purpose of techniques where appropriate and you are always welcome to ask questions or tell me if you are uncomfortable with a particular approach.
You remain free to decline or stop any particular exercise or technique.
3. Coaching and therapy
Coaching and hypnotherapy are collaborative processes. I will bring my professional knowledge, training and experience to our sessions, but successful change also depends upon your participation and engagement.
No particular outcome can be guaranteed. You remain responsible for your own choices, actions and decisions both during and between sessions.
My services are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, medical treatment or emergency mental-health care. I will not advise you to discontinue medication or treatment prescribed by a suitably qualified healthcare professional.
Where appropriate, I may recommend that you consult your GP or another suitably qualified professional, or I may suggest that a different service would be better suited to your needs.
4. Sessions
The length and frequency of sessions will depend upon the service booked and what we agree together.
Standard Transformational Coaching and Clinical Hypnotherapy sessions are approximately 55 minutes. Discovery Sessions are approximately 30 minutes.
Sessions may take place online or in person, depending upon the service booked and arrangements made.
Please arrive or join the online meeting at the agreed time. If you are late, I may not be able to extend the session beyond its scheduled finishing time because of other appointments.
5. Online sessions
For online sessions, please arrange to be somewhere private, comfortable and free from interruption wherever possible.
You should not participate in hypnotherapy while driving, operating machinery or undertaking any activity requiring your full attention.
Occasionally, internet connections or technology may fail. If a session is significantly disrupted by technical problems, we will agree an appropriate way to continue, rearrange or complete the session.
6. Confidentiality
What you share with me will normally be treated confidentially.
There are limited circumstances in which confidentiality may need to be broken, including where I am required to do so by law, where safeguarding responsibilities apply, or where I believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person.
Where appropriate and safe to do so, I would normally discuss this with you before making a disclosure.
Further information about how your personal information is handled can be found in my Privacy Notice.
7. Professional supervision
As part of good professional practice, I undertake professional supervision and may discuss aspects of my client work with a suitably qualified supervisor.
Where possible, identifying information will be removed or limited to what is necessary. Supervision is itself conducted within professional confidentiality requirements.
8. Records
I maintain appropriate records relating to our work together, which may include intake information, consent records, session notes, correspondence and relevant administrative information.
Records are stored securely and handled in accordance with my Privacy Notice and applicable data-protection requirements.
Adult client records will normally be retained for eight years after our last interaction in accordance with current professional guidance.
9. Communication between sessions
You are welcome to contact me regarding appointments, administration or matters directly related to our work.
Email, telephone or messaging communication between sessions is not intended to provide an emergency or crisis service or ongoing therapy outside scheduled appointments.
I will respond as soon as reasonably practicable during my normal working arrangements, but I cannot guarantee an immediate response.
10. Emergencies and urgent support
I do not provide an emergency or crisis service.
If you believe that you or someone else is in immediate danger, please contact the emergency services or an appropriate emergency healthcare service.
If you require urgent mental-health support, please contact your GP, NHS services or another appropriate crisis-support service.
11. Fees and payment
Current fees are displayed when booking and/or will be agreed with you before your appointment.
Payment is required in advance of each paid session unless we have agreed alternative arrangements.
Full details are set out in my Payment, Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy.
12. Cancellation and rescheduling
I understand that circumstances sometimes change.
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the full session fee, except where I decide that exceptional circumstances justify otherwise.
If I need to cancel a session, I will give you as much notice as reasonably possible and offer an alternative appointment. You will not be charged for a session that I cancel.
Further details are provided in my Payment, Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy.
13. Ending our work together
You are free to end coaching or therapy at any time.
Where possible, I encourage you to discuss your decision with me so that we can bring our work to an appropriate conclusion and review the progress you have made.
I may also recommend ending or pausing our work, or referring you to another professional, if I believe that continuing would not be appropriate, safe or within my professional competence.
14. Respect and professional boundaries
Our work together is based upon mutual respect.
I reserve the right to end a session or our professional relationship if I experience threatening, abusive, discriminatory, sexually inappropriate or otherwise seriously unacceptable behaviour.
15. Complaints and concerns
If you have any concerns about our work together, I encourage you to raise them with me so that we can try to resolve the matter.
If a concern cannot be resolved directly, information about my professional memberships and any applicable complaints procedure can be provided.
16. Agreement
By proceeding with coaching, hypnotherapy or related therapeutic services, you confirm that you have had the opportunity to read these Terms of Service, ask any questions you may have and make an informed decision about participating.
Your consent is ongoing and you may ask questions, decline a particular technique or withdraw from the therapeutic or coaching process at any time.
